APARNA ENTERPRISES TO INVEST RS. 200CR. FOR EXPANSION
City-based Aparna Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the building materials manufacturing arm of the Rs 1600 crore Aparna Group, on Wednesday said it will be investing Rs 200 crore over a period of three years in diversifying into new segments and expanding its existing facilities as part of the group’s plans to hit the Rs 2300 crore turnover mark by 2020. In line with this, AEL is diversifying into the aluminium windows and structural frames segment soon under its Venster brand, with an aluminium windows and structural frames manufacturing facility coming up at a cost of Rs 10 crore at Bachupally in Hyderabad and expected to become operational in a month’s time, AEL managing director Ashwin Reddy said here on Wednesday.
Plans are also afoot to expand the ceramic tiles manufacturing unit at Peddapuram near Kakinada from the existing 15,000 sqmt per day to 30,000 sqmt per day at a cost of Rs 80 crore by adding one line in the next eight months and by adding the third line at another Rs 80 crore to take up the capacity to 45,000 sqmt per day after two years, Reddy explained, adding that AEL is targeting a turnover of Rs 1500-1600 crore over the next three years. According to AEL director Aparna Reddy, the company is also looking at entering two more businesses in the building materials segment and will be taking a call on those soon. She, however, refused to divulge any further details. AEL, which makes RMC (ready-mix concrete), uPVC windows and doors under the Venster brand, tiles under the Vitero brand, sanitary ware fittings, uPVC profile extrusion, metal forming and CRF, and is currently predominantly a south India based player, is now eyeing a pan India presence for its Aparna Venster brand of uPVC products. Though currently Aparna Venster fabrication units are located in Telangana and Karnataka, AEL plans to start new fabrication units in other parts of the country.
